Darran wasn’t always into fitness. After getting his desk job in 2012, bad habits caught up and soon found himself overweight, unhealthy, and unhappy. After losing the weight, in 2015 he decided to try a crossfit intro class and fell in love. The camaraderie and support in the community is what keeps him coming back for more. When not in the gym, Darran enjoys being outdoors. He enjoys hiking, fishing, trail running and especially obstacle course racing. During summer if there is a race in town, chances are that’s where you’ll see him. Darran tests the Crossfit concept of being” prepared for the unknown and the unknowable” each and every race.
